Accessible Meeting Places on Vancouver Island

While travelling around Vancouver Island I have been discovering other places that are accessible. I will list them here, as I discover them.
Once more... this is a work in progress, it takes a lot of time to get out and about. Your patience and understanding is appreciated!

Chemainus

The Chemainus Theatre Festival 9737 Chemainus Road, Chemainus, 800-565-7738 or 250-246-9820
This famous play house has an excellent dining area and is in the heart of the Chemainus civic centre.
The Mount Brenton Golf Course Restaurant 2816 Henry Road, Chemainus, 250-246-4948
This was a surprise discovery when the Chemainus Theatre did not have room at their dining room. We were in for a treat!

Mill Bay

Catrina's Grill, #170 - 2720 Mill Bay Road, Mill Bay 250-743-7277
A perfect stop before or after the Malahat Highway, this cozy family run restaurant has an accessible washroom tucked in behind the bar. The food is delicious and affordable with friendly service. Absolutely worth the stop, this restaurant is a great place to check out on your next road trip.

Nanaimo

Longwood Brew Pub, 5775 Turner Road, Nanaimo, 250-729-8225
From a deliciously rich Russian Stout to a nice light Two Penny Ale, this brewery crafts fine beer and serves delicious food. The lower level is in the style of a neighbourhood pub with off sales available. The upper level is a nice comfortable restaurant, equally appropriate for a lunch with friends or a special dinner.
Nanaimo Port Authority, 104 Front Street, Nanaimo, 250-754-5053
This municipal Marina has had extensive upgrades to make it accessible and a jewel in the harbour. It combines walkways for citizens and visitors to Nanaimo, with fresh seafood and fish available from the docks, coffee shops, a tea house and close proximity to downtown with all of its amenities.

Nanoose Bay

Rocking Horse Pub, 2038 Sanders Road Nanoose Bay, 250-468-1735
On Northwest Bay Road between Nanoose Bay and Parksville, this traditional English Pub provides a delicious menu of appetizers, pub fare, and full course meals. Eat inside the sumptuous pub, decorated with rock and wood highlights, or settle outside and take in the working equine acerage and dizzying dance of hummingbirds on the deck area.

Sidney

Stonehouse Pub, 2215 Canoe Cove Road, North Saanich, 778-426-1200
We discovered this restaurant while tucking in to Canoe Cove Marina during a storm. My partner takes me sailing - lucky me!
Travelodge Victoria Airport Sidney 2280 Beacon Avenue, Sidney 250-656-1176
Located in Sidney this Travelodge has a fully accessible room with roll in shower, lowered closet, adapted switch heights and lots of room. It is absolutely geared for enabling as much independence as possible. Located at the head of the downtown core, it is situated perfectly to explore Sidney.

Victoria

Accent Inns - Victoria, Vancouver Airport, Burnaby, Kelowna and Kamloops
They have a number of accessible rooms at all locations with the Vancouver and Burnaby properties both featuring rooms with roll-in showers.
Sandman Hotels - Victoria 2852 Douglas St, Victoria, 250-388-0788
Spacious accessible suites with a lot of room in the bathroom and multiple grab bars in the tub. We stumbled upon this looking for a place for a medical trip when it appeared that all the other places were full. Lucky us!
